Befo ore Each h Use 1. Makke sure the Power P Switch h(#14)is O OFF. 2. Makke sure the fo ollowing parts are properrty attached to t the machin ne and adjussted: - The Rear Wheel W Bracketts (#28). - The desired Slip Form (P Part# 1A,#1B B, #1C) a. loosen the ese two nuts. b b. Unload the e bolts c. Change the mold m that you need (1A, 1 B or 1C) d. fit the bolts an nd nuts again n. (#2, #3, #4 4, #5) - The Compacction Ram (6 64). (See Parrts Diagram.) 3.
Always m make sure th hat the Powe er Switch (14 4) is OFF and d the Curbing g Machine iss unplugged from f its electrica al outlet before making ad djustments to o the Curbing g Machine. 5. Insp pect the gene eral condition n of the Curb bing Machine e. Check for loose l screwss, misalignment or bind ding of movin ng parts, crac cked or broke en parts, dam maged electrrical wiring, aand any othe er cond dition that ma ay affect its safe s operatio on.
Concrete Preparation • It is extremely important to have a consistent mix. If it is too wet, it will slump. If it is too dry, it will crack. • The sand should be rough, not having gravel much larger than match head.The sand should be free of dirt and debris. Mortar sand is recommended. DO NOT use silica sand.
Operatiing Instrructions 1. Whe en you open the cartons, you will find d the following parts. 2. Insta all the front wheel(#9) w 3. Insta all the back wheel w and handle(#9,#4 h 0) #40 0 NOTE: IIt is recomme ended that you y first test tthe Curbing Machine in your y drivewayy or garage. Experim ment by running concrete sand or morrtar sand (slig ghtly moist and a without ccement) to ge et an idea of h how to run th he Curbing Machine.
NOTE: T To produce curbing, c the Front Pneum matic Tire sho ould be remo oved, leavingg the front off the Slip Form on n the ground.. 6. Adju ust the two Rear R Wheel Brackets B so tthat the front of the Slip Form F is on thhe ground and the backk of the Slip Form is raise ed about 1/4 inch above the ground. 7. Add cement into o the Drum with w whole ful l shovels at a time. The Curbing C Macchine will start to prop pel itself as itt extrudes a curb. c Contin ue to add ce ement into the e Drum.
