BLADE CONTROL
Thebladecontrolisattachedto theupperhandleof the mower.
Depressandsqueezeit againstthe upperhandleto operatethe unit.
Releaseit to stopengineandblade.
SIDE DISCHARGE COVER
Yourmowerisshippedas a mulcher.Todischargethegrassclippings
to the side instead,followthe instructionsin the Assemblysectionto
attachthe sidedischargecover.
Thisbladecontrolis a safetydevice.Neverattemptto bypassits
operations.
CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT LEVER
Oneadjustmentleveris locatedon the right rearwheelandoneis
locatedonthe rightfrontwheel.Bothlevershaveto beat the same
positionto ensurea uniformcut.Toadjustthe cuttingheight,referto
the AssemblySection.
MULCH PLUG
Themulchplugisusedfor mulchingpurposes.Insteadof collecting
the grassclippingsin agrasscatcheror usingthesidedischarge
chute,somemowermodelshavetheoptionof recirculatingthe
clippingsbackto the lawn.Thisis calledmulching.
Keephandsandfeetawayfromthe chuteareaon cuttingdeck. Refer
to warninglabelonthe unit.
RECOIL STARTER
The recoilstarteris attachedto the right upperhandle.Standbehind
the unit andpullthe recoilstarterropeto startthe unit.
OIL FILL CAP/DIPSTICK
Referto the Maintenancesectionfor instructionsoncheckingthe oil.
TRAIL SHIELD
The trail shieldis attachedto the rearof the mowerand isthere to
protectthe operatorfromflyingdebris.Do not usethe mowerunless
the shieldisfullyfunctionalandin place.
