Neverstorelawnmowerwithfuel intankindoorsorin poorly
ventilatedareaswherefuel fumesmayreachan openflame,spark,
or pilot lightasona furnace,waterheater,clothesdryer,or gas
appliance.
PREPARING THE ENGINE
Forenginesstoredover30days:
1. Topreventgum fromforminginfuel systemoron carburetor
parts,runengineuntilitstopsfromlackof fuel oradda gasoline
additiveto thegas in thetank. If youuse agas additive,runthe
enginefor severalminutesto circulatethe additivethroughthe
carburetor--afterwhichthe engineandfuel canbe storedupto
24months.
2. Whileengineis stillwarm,changethe oil.
3. Cleanengineof surfacedebris.

• Cleanandlubricatemowerthoroughlyas describedinthe lubrica-
tion instructions.
• Donotusea pressurewasheror gardenhosetocleanyour unit.
• Coatmower'scuttingbladewithchassisgreaseto prevent
rusting.
• Referto PREPARINGTHE ENGINEfor correctenginestorage
instructions.
• Storemowerin a dry,cleanarea. Do notstorenextto corrosive
materials,suchas fertilizer.
Whenstoringany typeof powerequipmentina poorlyventilatedor
metalstorageshed,care shouldbetakento rust-prooftheequipment.
Usinga lightoil orsilicone,coatthe equipment,especiallycablesand
all movingpartsof yourlawnmowerbeforestorage.
