OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.  To Attach Battery Pack
a.  Press the switch-lock button (A) marked 
 to 
set it to the lock position.
b.  Align the raised portion on the battery pack 
(not included) with the grooves on the bottom 
of the tool, then slide the battery pack onto the 
saw as shown.
c.  Make sure that the latches on the battery 
pack snap into place and the battery pack is 
secured to the tool before beginning operation.
NOTICE: When placing the battery pack on the 
tool, be sure that the raised rib on battery pack 
aligns with the groove on the tool and the latches 
snap into place properly. Improper attachment of 
the battery pack can cause damage to internal components.
To Detach Battery Pack
a.  Press the switch-lock button (A) marked 
 to set it to the lock position.
b.  Press the battery-release button to release the battery pack.
c.  Pull backward on the battery pack to remove it from the tool.
2.    Variable-speed Trigger Switch and 
Switch-Lock Button
a.  To turn the saw ON, press the switch-lock 
button (A) marked 
 to unlock the switch, 
then squeeze the variable-speed trigger 
switch (B).
b.  To turn the saw OFF, release the trigger 
switch. The switch can be locked in OFF by 
pressing the switch-lock button marked   to 
reduce the chance of unintentional starting.
c.  To vary the speed, simply increase or 
decrease the pressure on the variable-speed 
trigger switch. The more tightly the variable 
speed trigger switch is squeezed, the higher 
the speed will be.
 WARNING
•  Battery tools are always in operating condition. Therefore, always press the switch-lock 
button marked   to lock the switch or remove the battery when the saw is not in use or when 
carrying the saw at your side.
