Use and Care Guide
WARNING
WARNING
Some dust created by paint spraying, power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling
and other related activities is known to the state of California to cause cancer,
birth defects and other reproductive harm. A listing of chemicals can be
obtained from www.oehha.ca.gov under proposition 65.
Some examples of these chemicals are:
• Lead from lead based paints
• Crystalline silica from bricks, cement and other masonry products
• Arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber
Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this
type of work. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals work in a well
ventilated area and wear appropriate/approved safety equipment such as
respirators or dust masks which are specially designed to filter microscopic
particles.
• Read and understand all warnings and manuals supplied.
• Use appropriate tools and take all necessary safety precautions.
• Use the right eye protection for the job. Never depend on regular glasses or
contact lenses to protect you.
• Watch out for flying particles from grinding, etching and other machine
operations.
• Never use face shields in place of safety glasses or goggles.
• Never exceed the manufacturer's stated pressure rating for each and every
item in the system.
• Inspect all air lines and hoses for splits, cracks, and wear. Do not use if
damaged, defective or worn. Make sure all connections are tight.
• This regulator is designed to be used for only compressed air app lications
and not with liquid or gas materials. Use of anything but air can cause injury
or death.
• Particle respiratory hazards are from tiny pieces of matter that may not be
visible and can damage lungs, nasal passages and other organs. To protect
yourself, know what kind of respiratory hazard you're exposed to and use the
right kind of personal protective equipment for each hazard, Filtration
respirators filter out dusts, fumes and mists. Air-purifying respirators contain
replaceable chemical cartridges that keep the contaminant out of circulation.
Air supplying respirators provide clean air from an outside source when the
air around you is simply too dangerous to breathe.
