CH00 SQB-5 SERIES – UNDER THE CABINET INSTALLATION Figure 1 Preparation before Installation NOTE: TO AVOID DAMAGE TO YOUR HOOD, PREVENT DEBRIS FROM ENTERING THE VENT OPENING. Decide the location of the venting pipe from the hood to the outside. Refer to Figure 1. A straight, short venting run will allow the hood to perform more efficiently. Try to avoid as many transitions, elbows, and long run as possible. This may reduce the performance of the hood.

Use 6” round steel pipe for 36” models or 8” round steel pipe for 42” and 48” models (follow building codes in your area) to connect the exhaust on the hood to the ductwork above. 5. Align hood-mounting bracket to the six screws on the wall and hook hood into place. Tighten screws to secure hood to the wall. 6. For safety purpose, pre-drilled mounting holes are provided through the back of the hood. For a more secure installation, use as many mounting holes as needed to secure from the inside of hood (screws included). CAUTION: MAKE SURE HOOD SECURE BEFORE RELEASING. OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS This KOBE hood is equipped with two rotary controls with powerful centrifugal squirrel cage, baffle filters, and bright LED lights. The two rotary controls are Light Control & Speed Control. Refer to Figure 16. Figure 16 Note: For best results, turn hood to QuietMode™ prior to preparation or cooking to establish airflow in the kitchen. Adjust speed as needed.
MAINTENANCE For the optimal level of operation, clean the range hood surface and baffles regularly. To Clean Hood Surface CAUTION: NEVER USE ABRASIVE CLEANERS, PADS, OR CLOTHS. *** Regular care will help preserve its fine appearance. 1. Use only mild soap or detergent solutions. Dry surfaces using soft cloth. 2. If hood looks splotchy (stainless steel hood), use an orange base cleaner to clean the surface of the hood. Avoid cleaner to get on the control switches.

TROUBLE SHOOTING Issue After Installation, both motors and lights are not working. Lights are working, but motor(s) is not. Possible Cause The power is not on. The range hood is vibrating. The blower system is not secure. The motor is working, but the lights are not working. LED Light(s) is defective. The range hood is not venting out correctly. Cold air is coming into the home. Solution Make sure the circuit breaker and the unit’s power is ON. Use a voltage meter to check the power supply.
WARRANTY WARRANTY CERTIFICATE In order to obtain warranty service, you must provide proof of original purchase from a KOBE authorized Dealer. Please keep a copy of your original invoice as proof of purchase. ONE-YEAR LIMITED LABOR WARRANTY ON KOBE DELUXE SERIES: For one year from the date of your original invoice from a KOBE authorized dealer, we will repair any parts or components free of charge that failed due to manufacturing defects.
