To set the date on your eReader: 1. Turn it on and press the MENU buoon. 2. Select SETTINGS from the menu. The SETTINGS OVERVIEW screen appears.

There are two types of PDF files – regular PDFs, and PDFs that are protected by Adobe Reader® Mobile technology (also called Adobe DRM).

This area gives you a quick way to find the books, documents, newspapers and magazines you’re currently reading.
KOBO EREADER AND KOBO DESKTOP APPLICATION USER GUIDE To change how your eReader shows books: 1. Go to your BOOKS area. To reach this area, press the MENU buoon and select BOOKS. 2. Press the MENU buoon and select DISPLAY from the menu. The DISPLAY menu appears. 3.

You can filter books to show: • All books in your library. • Only the 100 free classics that were included with your Kobo eReader.

You can choose between a serif font and a sans-‐serif font. To change the font your eReader uses in a book: 1.

This makes it easier to browse and find a specific type of book. To browse by category: 1. Go to the main page of the Kobo Store and use the NavigaEon Pad to select BROWSE.

This makes it easy to see what other people are reading and enjoying. To browse recommended books: 1. Go to the main page of the Kobo Store.
KOBO EREADER AND KOBO DESKTOP APPLICATION USER GUIDE 48 Search by author or Utle SomeEmes you want a specific book, or to find books by a specific author. The fastest way to find parEcular items is to search for them. To search the Kobo Store: 1. Press the MENU buoon. 2. Select SEARCH from the menu (under STORE). 3.

Note: You must set up your billing informaEon and a credit card for your Kobo account before you can purchase books on your eReader.

Wireless is on, but your eReader cannot find a signal. Your eReader has a wireless signal, but it is not very strong. Your eReader has a fair wireless signal.

If you selected a secure network, your eReader will prompt you for a network password. a. Use the virtual keyboard to enter the network password.

Enter the network password using the virtual keyboard. The password is automaEcally hidden to make it more secure.

KOBO EREADER AND KOBO DESKTOP APPLICATION USER GUIDE 70 When you use other Kobo applicaEons to read or shop the Kobo Store, synchronizing becomes a very useful tool. For example, let’s say you have the Kobo Desktop ApplicaEon on your computer, as well as a Kobo app on your iPhone.

This forces your eReader to try and restart. If the eReader is frozen you may not see any screen change.

If you can’t find a book or document that you’ve added to your eReader, here are some things you can check: • Is it in a format that your eReader can use? • Your eReader can read EPUB and PDF file formats.

If it detects that you need to update your soNware, it will prompt you for an acEon.

If it discovers an available update for your eReader, it starts the eReader upgrade wizard to help you through the updaEng process. 5. This account lists all the books you’ve purchased from the Kobo Store, as well as informaEon about which ones you’ve started reading, and where you are in each book.

To see your library as a list of book Etles and covers, choose LIST VIEW. To see your library as a series of book covers, choose SHELF VIEW.

Click once anywhere on the screen to start reading. To turn pages, click the forward and back icons (Û and Ü) at the side of each page.
