Du
sty or dirty lenses are frequently the

le cause for photo-
graphic
fai
lures. Lenses
should
be
frequently
exam
in
ed
by
looking
through
the lens, a
nd
if
found
to
be dirty,
should
be
wiped,
both
front a
nd
back
, with a clean,
so
ft,
linen
handk
er -
chief.
It
is we
ll,
also,
to
occasionally wipe o
ut
the
inside of
Kodak
with a s
li
ghtly
damp
cloth. In
du
sty s
umm
er weather
this needs especial attention.
Large
spot
s of
dust
or
dirt
on
the lenses will cause defects in
the
picture ; while,
if
the
lenses
are evenly cover
ed
with a film of dust
or
dirt,
th
e effect will be
to cut off a great deal of
th
e
li
g
ht
a
nd
mak
e the picture
und
er-
timed.
