meant

it.
Such
a
ro
om
can
easily
be
secured
at
night
almost
any
where.
The
reason
a
dark
room
is
required is that
the
film is extr
emely
sensitive
to
white
light,
either
da
yli
gh
t or
lampli
gh t,
and
w o
uld
be
spoi
led zl
expose
d
to
'i
t
even
for a fraction
of
a
second.
Having provided such a r
oom
or
close
t,
where,
when
the
door
is clo
se
d,
no
ray of
lig
ht
can
be seen:
Set
up
on

le Lamp,
and
light it as directed in
th
e
circul
ar
which
com
es in
the
box
in which
th
e
lamp
is enclosed.
THE
LAMP
.
Th

gives a
subdued
ye

or
orange

gh
t which will
not
injure
th
e film unless it is he
ld
close
to
it. Set
the
lamp
on
th
e
table
at
least eighteen inches from
and
with
the
sid
e
toward
the
operator.

put

e contents (two
chemicals)
into
th

ur
into
second
tray.

distinguish objects in the picture.
