64 Getting Started Guide (Fixed-Form)
Testing a Definition File
So far, testing of the definition file has been limited to a few documents in the
Definer test mode. The next stage is to run a test in the Recognition Test Tool, where
statistics can automatically be generated to show processing performance. Typically
this tool would be used for testing on a large number of images.
X To test a definition file in the Recognition Test Tool
1 Open the Recognition Test Tool by clicking Start on the taskbar to display the
menu, and selecting All Programs | INDICIUS | Tools | Recognition Test
Tool.
2 Select File | New Project… to open the New Project window.
3 Click on the
button at the top and select the following definition file:
<Installation Path>\config\MyOrderForms.idf
4 Click OK.
5 Click on the
(Select Documents) button at the top of the Document List
to open the Select Documents window.
6 Select the seven images in the following folder:
<Installation Path>\examples\Order Forms\images\
7 Click Open.
8 Click on the Run Test button to process all the documents using your
definition file.
9 Click on the
(Analyse Results) button to view the Recognition results.
10 Select File | Exit to close the Results Analysis window.
11 Select File | Save Project and save the project to the following folder:
<Installation Path>\Test Projects\MyOrderForms.rtp
12 Select File | Exit.
If you need to make any changes to the definition file re-open Definer, select your
definition file, make the changes and save the file. You can then re-open the
