7. Install the Spout – Deck-Mount
Thread the tubes into the support plate.
Place a fiber washer and handtighten a nut on both ends of the
tubes.
Verify the top of the tube is flush with the surface of the intended
finished deck.
Tighten the nuts with a wrench.
Solder a 1/2″ NPT male copper connector (not supplied) to a 12″
(305 mm) section of each water supply tube.
Apply thread sealant to the male copper connections.
Tighten the coupling assemblies to the male connections.
Thread the coupling assemblies into the tubes. Use a wrench to
fully tighten the assemblies into the tubes.
Connect the supply tubes to the main water supply.
Insert the pipe plugs into the coupling assemblies.
Turn on the water supply.
Check connections for leaks. Adjust as needed.
Turn off the water supply, then remove and discard the pipe
plugs.
Finish the bath deck.
Solder.
