SINGLE-CONTROL KITCHEN FAUCET

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

HOW TO USE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

Please read these instructions carefully to familiarize

yourself with the required tools, materials, and installation

sequences. Follow the sections that pertain to your

particular installation. This will help you avoid costly

mistakes. In addition to proper installation, read all

operating and safety instructions.

All information in these instructions is based on the latest

product information available at the time of publication.

characteristics, packaging, or availability at any time

without notice.

NOTES

 The valve in this faucet operates as follows: Rais-

ing the lever handle opens the valve and increases

water flow. Turning the lever handle clockwise in-

creases the amount of hot water, while turning the

lever handle counterclockwise increases the

amount of cold water.

 If supply tubes must be cut, allow for required pe-

netration into shut-off valve.

 Shut off main water supply.

 Observe all local plumbing codes.

 Carefully inspect waste and supply tubing for any

sign of damage. Replace if necessary.

 The round base supplied with this faucet is for use

on a single-hole kitchen sink. If this faucet is to be

mounted on a three-hole sink, order elongated

escutcheon (see ordering information).

 Assemble faucet and spray to kitchen sink before

installing kitchen sink.

 Plumbers putty

 Thread sealant

 Tubing cutter

 Pliers

 Supply tubes

 Shut-off valves

FAUCET INSTALLATION Select either round base or optional elongated escutcheon. Apply Plumbers Putty For installing round base, place a ring of plumbers putty on underside of base. For installing optional elongated escutcheon, (3-hole): Apply a ring of plumbers putty on underside of escutcheon. Insert the O-ring into the groove in the spacer. Center the spacer with the O-ring side down, over the center hole. Position escutcheon over spacer.

If installing faucet without spray, thread pipe cap onto spray inlet connector using thread sealant and tighten. Spray Inlet Connector Pipe Cap Fig. #4 SPRAY INSTALLATION If installing faucet with spray, apply a ring of plumbers putty to underside of hose guide. Insert hose guide into hole farthest right on sink as viewed by user. From underside, thread nut onto hose guide shank and tighten. Remove excess putty from around hose guide. DRAIN INSTALLATION Install drain according to instructions packed with drain. SUPPLY TUBE AND SUPPLY STOP CONNECTIONS Install sink now, if necessary, using sink manufacturer’s instructions. Allow for required penetration of supply tubes into supply stops. Cut supply tubes if necessary. Coupling Nut Copper Tubing Compression Fittings: Slide coupling nut first, then ferrule, onto copper tubing. Place compression fittings over copper tubing. Hand-tighten coupling nuts.
