Common ValvesFaucet Types
Pullout
Single-handle faucet with sprayhead that pulls out towards you.
Pull-Down
Faucet with sprayhead that pulls down towards the sink.
Single-Handle
The handle may be located on the top or side
of the faucet. Faucet may have a sidespray next to the
faucet. Faucets with a sidespray always have an internal
diverter. If the sidespray is not working, it is most likely the
diverter malfunctioning.

Faucets may have a pull-down sprayhead or sidespray.
Wall-Mount
Faucet that is mounted to the wall. Most have two handles.
Bridge
Two-handle faucet which is raised off the deck. These faucets
may have a sidespray. If the sidespray is not working, it is most
likely the diverter inside the faucet that is malfunctioning.
Two-Handle
Two-handle faucets come with or without an escutcheon.
These faucets may have a sidespray. If the sidespray is not
working, it is most likely the diverter inside the faucet that
is malfunctioning.
Single-Hole, Two-Handle
These faucets may have a sidespray. If the sidespray is
not working, it is most likely the diverter inside the faucet
that is malfunctioning.
