3. Measure and Cut the Header and Threshold
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury. Always wear safety glasses while cutting.
Temporarily secure the wall jambs to the side walls of the finished opening with masking tape.
Orient the wall jambs so the screw holes face the inside of the shower and the ″Top″ label is at the
top.
Carefully measure the distance (B) between the top of the wall jambs, 76″ (193 cm) above the
shower ledge. Mark this distance on the header.
Carefully measure the distance (C) between the bottom of the wall jambs. Mark this distance on the
threshold.
Cut along the inside of the marked line to cut the header and threshold to length.
Use a file to remove any burrs where the cuts were made.
