U-Channel

Determine which side of the door will open. A right

side pivot is shown below.

The handle installs on the showerhead side and the

pivot installs on the side opposite the showerhead.

Left side pivot shown below. A left side pivot is shown

throughout the instructions.

The handle installs on the showerhead side and the

pivot installs opposite the showerhead.

Measure distance “A.” Mark and cut the threshold

1/16” (2 mm) or the width of a saw blade less than “A.”

Dry fit the threshold.

If needed, file the ends to match the corners and remove

burrs.

Position the threshold 1/4” (6 mm) from the front of the

ledge. Mark the location.

Remove and apply silicone sealant in the channel on the

bottom of the threshold.

Install the threshold on the ledge, tight against the wall

with the showerhead.

Confirm the black insert is in place in the U-channel.

If needed file the end of the U-channel to align with the

corner wall contour.

Install the U-channel on the pivot side of the threshold.

Position gaskets #1222949, on the wall mount bracket

and wall mount plate. Confirm the gaskets are correctly

oriented.

On the side opposite the Clean Coat label, position the

wall mount bracket. Install the wall mount plate to the

fixed panel and secure. Install the clear plastic seal,

leaving a 1/2” (13 mm) gap at the bottom.

Position gaskets #1222950 on the back plate and hinge

bracket.

Confirm the gaskets are correctly oriented.

On the fixed panel, position the back plate on the wall

mount bracket side and hinge bracket on the CleanCoat

label side and loosely secure.

Position the gaskets on the back plate and slider

assembly.

Position the slider assembly on the CleanCoat label side

of the door panel, pin oriented downward. Attach the

back plate with a 1/4-20 x 3/4” fastener.

Tighten with a 5/32” hex wrench. Confirm the bushings

are installed in the pivot hinge.

Reinstall the bushings if needed.

IMPORTANT: It is critical that the brackets are

correctly located.

Measure the position of each bracket. Each dimension X

and each dimension Y should match.

Adjust the brackets as needed and securely tighten.

With a partner, position the fixed panel in the

U-channel.

Plumb the fixed panel using a level. Mark the locations

of the four wall mount bracket screw holes with a

nail or other sharp object, using the bracket holes as a

template. Remove the fixed panel and place it on a piece

of cardboard or other protective material.

• Walls must be within 3/8” (10 mm) of plumb. This unit will

not function properly if the walls are more than 3/8” (10 mm)

out-of-plumb.

• Confirm the door and glass panels will not contact any objects

when opened.

• Cover the drain with tape to avoid loss of small parts.

• Follow the silicone sealant manufacturer’s instructions for

application and curing time.

• Perform this installation with two people.

11 At each of the four marks, drill a 5/16” hole with a drill bit appropriate for the wall material. Install an anchor in each hole. Clean the surface of the shower thoroughly to avoid damage. 12 Apply silicone sealant along the entire length on the inside of the U-channel. 13 Install the fixed panel in the U-channel. Secure the wall mount brackets to the wall. Apply a dab of silicone sealant to the back of the plug, then tighten the screws while maintaining level.
