1. Assemble the Drain
Remove
Unthread the screw from the strainer.
Remove the strainer, strainer body, and gasket from the drain ell.
Unthread the screws on the hood.
Pull the hood out from the overflow ell to access the pin on the
plunger assembly.
Remove the pin on the plunger assembly from the overflow ell,
and remove the plunger assembly.
Set aside the pin, plunger assembly, hood, and screws.
Install
Install the coupling nuts and the gaskets onto the overflow ell
and the drain ell.
Fit the overflow ell and the drain ell into the tee.
If necessary, cut the drain ell to fit a minimum of 3/4″ (19 mm)
inside the tee. Remove any burrs using emery paper.
