The remote control has an operating range of 16 ft from the air conditioner.
The remote signal receiver/sensor is located on the control panel of the air conditioner.
• Reception of signal commands is conrmed by an audible beep.
• Direct sunlight can interfere with the infrared signal.
To replace batteries, remove the back cover by pressing where indicated and sliding o the battery cover.
Important:
• The air conditioner will not operate if curtains, doors, or other materials block the signals from
the remote control to the unit.
• Do not expose the remote control to direct sunlight or heat or allow any liquid to fall onto it as
this could adversely impact its performance.
If the infrared receiver on the unit is exposed to direct sunlight, the unit may not function
properly when operated by the remote control. Use the curtains to prevent sunlight from falling
on the infrared receiver.
• If other electrical appliances react to the remote control, move them away from the unit.

• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit dierent from that to which the receiver
is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
