Disinfection of the
AeroDR Detector
Ifbodilyuidorbloodfromapatienthascontaminatedthe
surfaceoftheAeroDRDetector,disinfectwithasoftlint-
freeclothdampenedwithasmallquantityofthefollowing
disinfectantandwrungwell.
•Ethanolfordisinfection
•Isopropanolfordisinfection
•Commercialchlorinebleach,or0.5%hypochlorite
(10-folddilutionofhouseholdbleach)
IMPORTANT
• Bleachandhypochloritearecorrosive,sowashthe
bleachoffwelltoavoidcorrosion.
•
Becarefulnottoapplyanychemicalfordisinfection
ontothewiredconnectionconnectorsandtheLEDs.
• Ifyoudirectlyapplyorspraychemicalfordisinfec-
tionontheAeroDRDetector,thesolutionwillenter
theinstrumentthroughexteriorgaps,causing a
failure.
