2.2 Transmission Settings
2.2.1 Adjusting the Fax Resolution
Selecting one of the following resolutions to match the type of document to
be faxed will produce a sharper result.
1. Position the document to be faxed.
2. Press the
[RESOLUTION]
key until the resolution that matches the doc-
ument is selected.
• Repeatedly pressing the
[RESOLUTION]
key changes the setting as
shown below.
Document Type Resolution Setting
Documents with normal print NORMAL
Documents containing small print, such as
newspapers
Documents containing detailed
illustrations
FINE, S-FINE
Documents containing text and objects
with varying shades, such as photos
NORMAL + PHOTO, FINE + PHOTO
Documents containing objects with
varying shades, such as photos
FINE + PHOTO, S-FINE + PHOTO
