preventing any potential issues and will
flash 10 times in red to tell you the mode
programming has not been accepted!
7.6 Mode 7 - Reverse rotation
If you want to change the direction of the Motor
rotation you can change two of the three motor
cables or you can use mode 7. If you activate
mode 7 it’s not necessary to change the Motor
cables.
Programming mode 7:
1. Switch on and prepare the transmitter (as
shown from chap. 3.1 on). Place the throttle
stick in the "motor off" (0%) position.

3. Plug the ESC to the receiver (BEC cable).
Connect the cable to the receiver’s jack (that is
designated for throttle function) and the other
side into the KOSMIK’s jack that is marked as
Master. Switch on the receiver.
4. Connect the motor cables to the motor.
5. Connect the main battery to the KOSMIK.
6. Mode-LED (LED 1) flashes green. You will hear
an ascending triad of sounds, monitoring the
activation. Ongoing you will hear single tones
for the recognized number of cells (see chap.
4.1).
7. Press the button (marked PRESS) on the ESC
(see chap. 5 / sketch - No. 7), you will hear a
descending triad of sounds and the Mode-LED
flashes in red.
8. KOSMIK starts monitoring the modes, for each
mode there is the equal number of single
beeps, the Mode-LED flashes in correspon-
dence with the beep number in green.
9. After 7 single beeps mode 7 is reached, slide
the throttle stick to full throttle position (100%).
10. The red LED changes to green and the ESC
confirms first the throttle position with an
ascending triad of sounds, then the mode with
3 single beeps.
7.7 Connection of the telemetry cable
Please note that following steps are only for the
HV-I Variants. This step can be ignored for
other ESC Versions!
The COOL KOSMIK 250 HV / 300 HV has got
internal TelMe modules to show all telemetry
values on your transmitter. No further interface unit
is needed. You only need to connect the withe &
black Telemetry cable with your ESC and the
telemetry slot of your receiver. The two outer
sensor ports can be configured with Mode 8 and
Mode 9 (see below).
Futaba can only be used at the middle port!
There is nothing else to activate if you want to
use Futaba. The telemetry is automatically
activated!

7.8 Mode 8 - Telemetry Port 1
ATTENTION: The following step only applies to
HV-I variants. Does not apply to other controller
variants!
Connect the sensor port of the ESC with the sensor
port of your receiver by using the enclosed
telemetry cable. If you activate mode 8, the
Telemetry Port 1 will provide the telemetry protocol
you choose. Please make sure, that your receiver
is programmed correctly for telemetry.
Programming mode 8 :
1. Switch on and prepare the transmitter (as
shown from 3.1 on). Throttle stick to the "motor
off" (0%) position.
2. Plug the ESC to the receiver (with the Master
cable). Connect the cable to the receiver’s port
(that is designated for throttle function).
Then switch on your transmitter.
3. Connect the motor cables to the motor.
4. Connect the main battery to the KOSMIK.
5. LED flashes. You w ill hear an ascending triad
of sounds, m o ni t o rin g the activation. Ongoing
you will hear single t o nes for the recognised
number of LiPo c e lls ( s ee 4.1 ) .
6. After hearing the cell count, push the button on
the KOSMIK (on the shrinking tube versions
you can find the button on the back, near to the
sensor slot) , then you will hear three
descending tones and the m o d e .
7. KOSMIK starts monitoring the modes, f o r each
mode there is the equal number of beeps, the
LED
flashes in c o rrespondence with the beep
number.
