Purpose
This grounding outlet strip automatically
recognizes the difference between stand-by
power and operating power of your connec-
ted electrical consumers.
As soon as the intelligent electronics
recognizes that devices in stand-by power
are unnecessarily consuming power over
a defined period, these are automatically
switched off.
Both individual devices and combinations of
several electronic devices can be connected
to the grounding outlet strip.
When connecting several devices, ensure
that these are operated together during
daily use as much as possible.
These should be devices that are operated
with an infrared (IR) remote control, e.g.:
television, DVD, video, SAT-system, HiFi-
system, ...
The maximum stand-by power of all connec-
ted devices may not exceed 100 W.
The total power consumption of all connec-
ted devices may not exceed 3,600 W.
Completely switching off an electrical device
can save a lot of electricity, because even
devices that are apparently switched off can
consume power when inactive.
As a result, the power consumption can add
up tremendously over the course of a year.
Switching off unused devices also reduces
the risk of fire.
Note:
Video, DVD, and hard disc recorders and
other entertainment electronics that do not
possess a memory can lose their program-
ming with loss of power.
For this reason, follow the respective ope-
rating instructions before connecting these
devices.
Commissioning:
Place the IR-sensor head of the outlet strip
in the „line of sight“ and orient it so that
the IR-signal of an IR-remote control can be
