2. Connecting your monitor equipment
Connectstereoheadphonesorexternalaudioequipment(suchasanampli
fier)totheheadphonejack.UsetheVOLbuttonstoadjustthevolume.Ifyou
arerecordingfromthebuiltinoranex terna lmicrophone,werecommend
thatyoumonitorthroughheadphonestoreducetherisk ofacousticfeedback.
3. Turning the power on/off
YoumustobservethefollowingprocedurewhenturningtheMR2onoroff.
Turning the power on
PressthePowerb utton.Aftertheopeningscreen,themeter/counter
screenwillappear.IftheMR2isrunningonthebatteriesandthepower
willnotturnon,thereisinsufficientbatterycharge.Replacethebatteries.
Turning the power off
PressandholddownthePowerbuttonforatleasttwo(2)seconds.Theshut
downscreenwillappear ,andseveralsecon dslaterth epow erwillturnoff
automatically.
Auto shutdown function
Afteryou’vestoppedtherecorderandacertainlengthoftimeelapses
withoutanyoperationsbeingperformed,theshutdownscreenwill
appearautomaticallyandthenthepowerwillturnoffseveralseconds
later(seepage31).
