Appendix E Serial Daughterboard (SDB) Settings
The single-port serial transmitters and single-port and dual daisy chainable
serial receivers contain an internal serial daughterboard (SDB) that can be
configured for various serial modes.
The SDB hardware configuration is done via jumper settings. These jumpers
are used to set the various modes of operation. As shown below. Both ends
must be set the same.
To access the SDB on transmitters and receivers:
1. Make sure the unit is powered OFF.
2. If necessary, unplug all cables to the unit.
3. Unscrew the top screw as well as the two set screws in the DB9
connector. Lift the cover off.
