7. Dismantling of scaffold
To dismantle the scaffold, complete the steps for erection in reverse order.
8. Inspection, maintenance and care
Prior to erecting the scaffold, check all parts for damage. Replace defective or damaged
parts. Use only original spare parts.
Carry out a visual inspection, checking in particular for cracks in welds and other parts
of the material. Use only scaffold parts that are not bent or otherwise deformed. Always
ensure that component parts such as clamps, spindles, castors, etc. are in proper wor-
king condition.
Prior to erecting the scaffold, inspect the following parts:
Base frame, folding frame, vertical frame, stabiliser: inspect for deformation and
cracks
Diagonal braces and rail braces: inspect for deformation, cracks and proper operati-
on of the securing mechanism
Platforms:
inspect for deformation, cracks and proper operation of the securing mechanism
State of the timber Hatch operation
Board planks
State of timber, cracks
Castors: inspect for proper rotation; test brake function
Height-adjustable castors: check spindle for ease of movement
Securing devices (gravity pin, wing screw) at vertical frame and stabiliser: inspect
for damage and proper operation
Anti-lifting safety devices: inspect for deformation, cracks and proper installation
Prevent damage by refraining from throwing the parts.
The scaffold parts must be stored in such a way that they cannot be damaged.
The individual parts must be stored in such a way that they are protected against the
elements.
