The mounting socket should preferably be dimensioned to
allow the lower edge of the transducer to protrude at least 10
mm out of the socket.

If the reflective properties of the medium are good, you can
mount OPTISOUND 3010 C on sockets higher than the
transducer length. You will find recommended values for
socket heights in the following illustration. The socket end
should be smooth and burr-free, if possible also rounded.
Carry out a false echo storage.
