A little maintenance goes a long way, so we've

created this guide to help ensure the long life

and beautiful appearance of your door.

CARING FOR YOUR DOOR

Wood doors benefit from a thorough cleaning

2-3 times a year. Avoid using abrasive cleaning

products or tools as these can damage the

finish of the door. Lint free, microfiber cloths

are ideal. For doors with glass, use household

glass cleaner or a vinegar and water solution on

the glass panels. Wipe with a lint-free cloth or

coee filters for a streak-free finish.

Don't use a power washer or garden hose to

clean your door, and don't let sprinklers run on

it. This can cause water to enter your home

through the seams and dull your door's finish.

Fortunately, the wood construction of most of

our doors oers the ability to touch-up or paint

at any time. Refinish as needed, or every 2-3

years.

OVERHANG REQUIREMENT S STAIN TOUCH-UP Adequate overhang is critical to the life and performance of exterior wood doors. In order to qualify for your warranty, you should have sufficient coverage to protect your door from weather damage. Wood doors are made to shrink and expand to accommodate varying humidity levels and climate changes. This can occasionally cause natural, unfinished wood to be exposed.
