CPD 04

The CPD 04 is a bi-amped 2-way loudspeaker of

extremely compact design, consisting of a

woofer driver with neodymium magnets and a

coaxially arranged, wide-radiating dome

tweeter. The speaker is equipped with a 4.5"

woofer driver in a closed cabinet.

A special feature is the slotted waveguide for the

mid-bass speaker, which not only optimizes the

dispersion and the acoustic connection to the

dome tweeter, but it also creates an acoustic

crossover for the low-mid driver. Another great

advantage of this slotted waveguide is that it lifts

the CPD 04 to its impressive 120dB SPLmax sound

pressure level without sacrificing sound quality,

unmatched in this class.

Another unique future of the CPD 04 is that it can

be used in a very wide range of applications,

where lack of space or the desire to have an

"invisible" loudspeaker play a major role.

That is also the reason why we find the CPD 04

mainly in; theatres, houses of worship,

restaurants, galleries, exhibit audio for museums

and as ultracompact portable corporate AV

boardroom sound reinforcement solution, as

well as multifunctional background music

system or even clubs with a subwoofer extension

such as the KS AUDIO CPD B2.

The powerful 4,5 inch low-mid transducer

equipped with torsionally stiff yet light

carbonfibre cone plus coaxially mounted 1 inch

neodymium soft dome represents the perfect

nearfield pointsource as known from studio

monitor technology.

The 2-way DSP controller amplifier built into the

rear operates with very high efficiency and

requires no cooling fan. The FIR crossover and EQ

filter shapes are precisely matched to the

loudspeakers, and limiters ensure safe operation.

The power supply unit is capable of handling all

AC voltages between 110 and 240V. Connection is

provided via PowerCon F+M connectors which

allow daisy-chaining, e.g. to the next CPD 04.

The electronically symmetrical input has XLR

female and male connectors. A multi-color LED

indicates the operating status.

FULL RANGE CPD 04 The CPD 04 enclosure is constructed from birch multiplex and coated with Polyurethane. It is available in all RAL-colors and is also equipped with additional perforated steel front grille plus foam for heavy-duty protection of built-in transducers. All aluminum parts are anodized. Further features of this outstanding product are one 3/8 inch thread on bottom for tripod use and two metrical M6 inserts aside for mounting an optional U-bracket.
