TRANSMISSION

Checking Bearing

1.

Hold

the

inner race, and push and pull

the

outer

race in all

directions

to

check

for

wear and roughness.

2.

Apply

transmission oil

to

the

bearing, and

hold

the

inner

race. Then,

turn

the

outer

race

to

check rotation.

3.

If

there

is

any defect, replace it.

Checking Propeller Shaft Ball Coupling

1.

Hold

the

ball coupling outer, and push and pull, and

rotate

the

ball coupling inner in all directions

to

check

for

ware

and

roughness.

2.

Ifthere

is

any defect, replace it.

(When reassembling)

•

Apply

grease

to

the

inner parts

of

ball coupling and splines

of

ball coupling inner.

• When replacing the ball coupling assembly, install

the

ball

coupling inner

(1)

with

balls

so

that

its ball position inside

of

ball coupling

outer

(2)

as

shown in

the

figure.

Charge Pump

1.

Check

the

charge

pump

housing (3), spacer (1) and

the

gerotor

assembly

(2)

for

scratches and wear.

2.

If

scratch

or

worn,

replace

the

charge

pump

complete

assembly.

1.

Check
