Measure the resistance
with

ohmmeter
across
each lead
of
the stator

If
the
measurement
is
not
within
factory
specification,
replace it.
3.
Check
the continuity
across
each
stator coil lead and core
with
an
ohmmeter.
4.
If
infinity
is
not
indicated, replace it.

rectifier

rectifier
is
normal
if
the diode in the rectifier conducts in
one direction and does

conduct in the reverse direction.

IMPORTANT
Do
not
use
a
500
V megger
for
measuring because
it
will
destroy the rectifier.
