Backlash between Sector Gear Shaft and Ball Nut
1. Attach the pitman arm having no play.
2. Set a dial indicator with its finger on the pitman arm.
3. Move the pitman arm lightly, and measure the deflection.
4. If the measurement is not within the factory specification,
adjust
the backlash with the adjusting screw.
