Bevel Pinion Shaft and Differential Gear Assembly
1.
Take out the differential yoke shaft (4). (7).
2.
Remove the oil seal (11).
3.
Remove the internal snap ring (1).
4.
Pull out the bevel pinion shaft (3).
5.
Take out the differential gear assembly (5). from right side of front
axle case (6).
6.
Remove the stake
of
lock nut (10). and then remove the lock nut
(10).
7.
Remove the taper roller bearing (9).
(When reassembling)
• Apply gear oil to the taper roller bearings (9) and install them
correctly. noting their direction.
• Replace the lock nut (10) and oil seal (11) with new ones.
o After tighten the lock nut (10) to the specified torque, stake it
firmly.
o Install the adjusting collars (2). (8) to their original position.

Differential Gear
1.
Remove the bevel gear (5) with bearing (6) and bearing (9) by
puller.
2.
Remove the spring pin (10).
3.
Remove the differential pinion shaft (8).
4.
Remove the differential pinions (2). differential side gears (4) and
shims (1). (3).
• NOTE
• Arrange the parts to know their original position.
(When reassembling)
o Apply molybdenum disulfide (Three Bond
1901
or equivalent) to
the inner circumferential surface of the differential side gears.
