Checking Power Steering Line
A CAUTION
• Be sure
to
stop
the engine and remove the key before
checking power steering line.
1.
Check
to
see that all lines are tight and not damaged.
2.
If hoses are found to be worn or damaged, replace or repair them
at once.

Check to see that hose and hose clamps are tight and not
damaged.
2.
If hose and clamps are found to be worn or damaged, replace or
repair them at once.

Adjusting Toe-in
1.
Park tractor
on
a firm, flat and level place.

2.
Turn steering wheel so front wheels are
in
the straight ahead

position.

3.
Lower the implement to the ground, lock the parking brake, stop

the engine and remove the key.
4.
Measure distance between tire beads at front of tire at hub
height.
5.
Measure distance between tire beads at rear of tire at hub height.

6.
Front distance should be 0 to 5
mm
(0
to
0.19 in.) less that rear

not, adjust tie rod length.

• Adjusting
1.
Loosen the lock nuts and turn the steering tie-rod to adjust the
rod length until the proper toe-in measurement is obtained.
2.
Retighten the lock nuts.
