17EXCAVATOR OPERATION
*NOTE:
A See "SWIVEL MOVEMENT AND SWING
MOVEMENT".
OPERATION OF THE BOOM
To raise the boom, pull the attachment control
lever back.
The boom is equipped with a cushion cylinder
which prevents excavated material in the bucket
from fall-in out. By low hydraulic oil temperature,
(e.g. right after starting the engine) the
cushioning function will only be effected after a
certain delay (approx. 3 to 5 seconds). This
condition results from the viscosity of the
hydraulic oil and is no sign of a malfunction.
A When lowering the boom, make sure that it
does not hit the dozer and that the bucket
teeth do not touch the dozer.
