Liability Exclusion Dear Customer, our cable sets are developed according to the connection- and circuit diagrams of the corresponding car manufacturer. Before the original production the cable sets will be tested on an original car. Therefore, the integration into the car electronics will be executed according to the instructions of the manufacturer.

General Notes Regarding the development there has especially been paid attention to your personal safety together with the most possible operating comfort, modern design and actual product technologies.
Safety Instructions The installation may only be executed by trained qualified personnel. Please execute the installations only in a condition of dead voltage. Here please separate for example the battery from the main power supply and consider the instructions of the car manufacturer. • In order to not endanger your own driving safety please never use security relevant screws, bolts or other fixation pieces at steering, brake system or other components.
Notes NOTE: The use of a sound booster is not permitted without registration in the vehicle papers, in the area of the german StVZO. The noise emission of the vehicle is increased by this retrofit. The regulations of the StVZO must be observed. It is therefore recommended to ask for a specific registration option at the responsible TÜV/DEKRA office before retrofitting. Outside Germany, please observe the laws on vehicle licensing applicable in your country.
Assembly Instructions The following illustration shows the cable routing as well as the position of the individual components. 4 1 2 3 4 1 Scheme 1 – External sound generator incl.
Remove the carpet in the passenger’s footwell as well as the trim panel below the dashboard and of the a-pillar at the bottom (Fig. 1). For this, it is necessary to remove the sill trim, Fig. 2. Fig. 1 Fig. 2 Connect the Can wires with the white plug of the comfort control unit below the dashboard at the a-pillar, fig. 3, as shown below. For this, loosen the interlock of the plug and move it off.
Connect the ground cable (brown) afterwards. A suitable ground spot is located in the passenger’s footwell, fig. 5 and 6. Fig. 5 Fig. 6 Connect the wire for ignition plus (red/white) with the yellow/green wire of the cable harness at the fuse carrier in the trunk (below the covering), fig. 7. Loosen the fuse carrier to establish the connection at the back side according to fig. 8. Insulate the connection point afterwards and protect the wire with 7,5A.
Install the two control units with suitable workshop material in the area of the right a-pillar below the dashboard, fig. 9 and 10. Fig. 9 Fig. 10 Route the cable on the passenger’s side under the sill trim and behind the b-pillar, fig. 11 and 12. Fig. 11 Fig.
Afterwards route the wires below the rear seatback, fig. 13, along the rear right wheel housing (use a pull through aid for this), into the trunk, fig. 14. Fig. 13 Fig. 14 Route the wires to the driver’s side below the trunk floor covering, fig. 15. Afterwards route the cable behind the left side trim panel (use a pull through aid for this), fig. 16. Now guide the cable behind the left side trim panel, through an existing grommet, outwards, fig. 16 and 17. Ensure a waterproofing. Fig. 16 Fig. 17 Remove the trim panel of the underbody rear left, fig. 19, and make an opening according to fig. 20. Fig. 19 Fig.
Install the sound generator at the hold point for the exhaust silencer according to fig. 21 and orientate it before the tightening of the fixing screw according to fig. 22. Fig. 21 Fig. 22 Connect the external sound generator with the just routed cable, fig. 23 and 24, and attach the cable with cable ties. Fig. 23 Fig. 24 As additional safety the delivered steel cable and the retaining clips have to be tightened on the Sound Booster as well as at a suitable position in the car.
Finally, you have to route the wire of the pushbutton for the switch of the sound profiles. Use a pull through aid for this and route the wire from the passenger’s footwell behind the center console into the driver’s footwell, fig. 25. We recommend the installation of the pushbutton below the dashboard, at a non-visible position, fig. 26. Fig. 25 Attention: Fig. 26 For the drilling, a 7mm drill is necessary! The reassembly is made in reversed order.
