e Forte SE contains Kurzweil’s acclaimed eects processor, and when combined with Multi
Mode it puts the power of an entire studio of audio eects at your ngertips. is section
contains everything you’ll need to know in order to use the Forte SE’s eects in Multi Mode.
Press the FX soft button to enter the FX page.

Allocate FX per channel
Use the Allocate parameter to enable or disable the Insert and Aux eects Chains of the
Program in each MIDI channel. (e MIDI channel for each Zone can be set on the Zone
Main page.) Each MIDI channel can be set to Y to enable eects, or to N to disable eects.
Use the Alpha Wheel or Value buttons to change between Y and N. Some MIDI channels set
to Y may be displayed as (Y). is means that there are not enough eects resources available
for that channel, and that channel’s eects are not loaded. If you want to use the Chains for a
channel displayed as (Y), try setting other channels to N.
Program Insert (Prog. Insert)
When each channel is selected, the Prog Insert eld shows the name of the Insert Eects
Chain used by the selected channel. e Chain can be enabled or disabled using the “Allocate
FX per channel” section of the page. To edit or select a dierent Insert Eects Chain, the
Program must be edited in Program Edit mode.
