Then,setthesetup’sAuxFXchannel(seeAuxFXChannel on page 764)tothechannelof

zonethatcontainsyournewlyeditedprogram.Nowyouwillbeusingthesameeffectschain
thathadbeenyourauxOverride,butyoucanassigncontrollerstoitsparameterssinceitisnow
aregular,nonoverrideaux.
Note:WhenDestTypeissettoParam,theparametersin
theDestfieldaresendingMIDI
continuouscontrollervaluestocontroleachparameter.ItcanbeusefultoknowtheCCnumber
ornameusedforeachparameter,becausethisishowthecontrollermovementswillbelabeled
whenrecordedtothePC3LE’sSongmode(seeSongEditor:TheEVENTPage
on page 1031)orto
anexternalsequencer.ToseetheCCnumberbeingusedforaparameter,youcantemporarily
changetheDestTypeparametertoCtrltoseetheCCnumberintheDestfield.SomeCC
numbersshowanameinsteadoftheirnumberonthePC3LE.Youcanfind

Entry and Exit Values
Entryvalueallowsyoutospecifyaninitialvalueforacontrollerinasetupthatwillbesent
wheneveryouselectthatsetup.Forexample,if
youwanttomakesurethatallofthemodulation
inazoneisturnedoffwhenyouselectasetup,assignaphysicalcontrollertoadestinationof
MIDI01(MWheel)andsetEntryValueto0.
Entryvaluesignorethecurrentpositionofthephysicalcontrollerwhenthe
setupisselected.In
fact,ifthephysicalcontrollerisaboveorbelowtheentryvaluewhenthesetupisselected
(whichitoftenis),movingthecontrollerwillhavenoeffectuntilitispastitsentryvalue.Inthe
modulationexampleabove,movingtheassignedcontrollerwon’tturnon
anymodulationuntil
it’spushedallthewaydown,andthenupagain.
AnentryvalueofNoneisquitedifferentfromavalueof0.Nonemeansthattherewillbeno
initialcontrollercommandwhenthesetupisselected,andanysubsequentmovementofthe
physicalcontrollerwill
beeffective.
ExitValuetellsthe PC3LEtosendavalueforthatcontrollerwheneveryouleavethesetup,
eitherbyselectinganothersetuporbyselectingadifferentmodealtogether.Itcanbevery
usefulwhenacontrollerisdoingsomethingtothesound,andyoudon’twantthateffect
to
continueafteryouleavethesetup.Forexample,ifyouwanttomakesureazone’s pitchreturns
tonormalwheneveryouleaveasetup,youwouldsetExitValueto64foranycontrollerwhose
Destinationparameter issettoPitchUp.Again,Nonemeansnocommand issent.
