thedesiredvelocities(tooloudortooquiet)basedonyourplayingstyle(howlightorheavythat
youplaythepads.)Thedefaultmapprovidesthewidestrangeofvelocityexpression,but
you
maywanttochooseadifferentmapifthedefaultdoesnotsuityourplayingstyle.
ThePadsVelocityMapaffectsMIDIvelocityvaluesforallMIDIsourcesanddestinationsused
inthePC3LE(s ee thecircledboxaboveforitslocationintheMIDIsignalflow.)Differentmaps
used
forthePadsVelocityMapgeneratedifferentMIDIvelocityvaluesforthesamephysical
padstrikevelocity.EachmapappliesadifferentcurvetoreceivedMIDIattackvelocitiesand
remapsthemtonewvelocitiesbeforelettingthempass.Thedefaultmapprovidesthewidest
rangeofvelocityexpression,butyou
maywanttochooseadifferentmapifthedefaultdoesnot
