Ifyou’ reusingadifferentMIDIcontroller,youcanmakeuseofSetupmodeevenifyourMIDI
controllercantransmitononlyoneMIDIchannelatatime.Todothis,gototheMIDIReceive
pageinMastermode(bypressingtheRECVsoftbuttonwhileinMastermode),
andsetthe
LocalKeyboardChannelparametertoavaluethatmatchesthetransmitchannelofyourMIDI
controller.WhenyouselectSetupmode,thePC3LEwillinterpretincomingMIDIinformation
accordingtothesettingsforthecurrentlyselectedsetup.SeethediscussionoftheLocal

Quick Access Mode
Anotherfeatureforliveperformance,QuickAccessmodeenablesyoutocombineprograms
andsetupsintobanksoftenentries.Eachoftheseprogramsorsetupscanbeselectedwitha
singlealphanumericbutton.DifferentbanksareselectedwiththeChan/Zonebuttons.There’sa
selectionoffactorypresetbanks,andyou
canusetheQuickAccessEditortocreateyourown
banksandstoretheminthePC3LE’smemory.There’safulldescriptioninChapter8.
YoucanalsouseQuickAccessbanksasawaytoremapincomingoroutgoingProgramChange
commands.
Master Mode
Mastermode,describedinChapter 9,containstheparametersthatcontroltheentirePC3LE.
Globalsettingsfortuning,transposition,velocityandaftertouchsensitivity,andother
preferencesareadjustedhere.YoucanalsogettoGeneralMIDIModefromhere.
Song Mode
Songmodeenablesyoutoplaysequences(songs)storedinthePC3LE’smemory,andprovidesa
fullyfeaturedsequencerthatyoucanusetorecordsongs.Youcanalsorecordmultitimbrally
viaMIDI,orloadstandardMIDIfiles(Type0or1).TheSongEditoralsoenablesyoutomodify
existingsequencesstoredinmemory.SeeChapter 10.
