Program Mode
ProgramsarethePC3LE’sperformance‐levelsoundobjects.They’represetsoundsequivalentto
thepatches,presets,voices,ormultisthatyoufindonothersynths.
ProgrammodeistheheartofthePC3LE,whereyouselectprogramsforperformanceand
editing.ThePC3LEispackedwithgreatsoundspoweredbythe
samepowerfulsynthesisas
usedinKurzweil’sPC3.ThePC3LEgivesyoueasyaccess tothissynthesis.Foreachfactory
ROMProgramtherearesynthesisparametersassignedtothePC3LE’sassignablecontrols.You
canstarttweakingsoundsrightawayfromtheProgrammodemainpagebymovingtheknobs
andusing
theassignableswitches.Thesesynthesis parametersarealsoavailabletoeditinthe
simplifiedPC3LEProgramEditor,alongwiththeabilitytochangeFXchainsandarpeggiator
settings.FormoreindepthProgrameditingcapabilities,presstheV.A . S. T. softbuttoninthe
ProgramEditortoentertheV.A.S.T.ProgramEditor,
whichallowsyoutoeditprogramsusing
almostallofthesameparametersthatareavailableonthePC3.
Pads
WhenyouselectaPC3LEprogram,thePC3LEwillalsoselectanassociatedDrumprogramto
betriggeredbythePads.TheprogramforthePadsisassignedtoMIDIchannel10.

Assignable Knobs, Switches, Pedals, and Wheels
InProgrammode,eachofthePC3LE’sassignableknobs,switches,pedalsandwheelscanbe
usedtocontrolaprogramspecific
parameter,ortosendMIDIcontinuouscontrollervaluesto
externalequipment.Eachfactoryprogramhassomeofthesecontrollersassignedtoprogram
parameters(forexample,filterfrequency,attacktime,distortiondrive,etc.)PresstheInfosoft
buttonfromtheProgrammodemainpagetoseealisttheassignmentssetfor
eachcontrol.To

ThePC3LE’sfiveknobscancontrolupto15parametersperprogram,actingas15virtualknobs.
Eachofthefiveknobscancontrol3differentparameters,andyoucanaccessthreegroupsoffive
parametersatatime
(oneforeachknobatatime.)PresstheShiftbuttontotheleftoftheknobs
toswitchbetweenlightingoneoftheLED’sforthethree rowsbelowtheknobs.Whenarow’s
LEDislititindicatesthatoneofthe3setsoffiveparameters(ifassigned)
cancurrentlybe
controlledfromtheknobs.
Eachknobrowrepresents5ofthe15virtualknobparameters.Thetoprow(labeledTimbre‐
Reverb)representsknobs1‐5,themiddlerow(labeledCTL6‐10)representsknobs6‐10,andthe
bottomrow(labeledCTL11‐15 )representsknobs11‐
15.Thetopknobrowhasgeneral
parameternames,indicatingthe parametertypegenerallyassignedforeachfactoryprogram.
