The messaging settings allow you to set how you want to handle incoming and
outgoing messages.

You can change the phone number assigned to speed dialing location “1” by doing the
following:
NK Select jÉåì 6 jÉëë~ÖÉë 6 jëÖ=pÉííáåÖë 6 sçáÅÉã~áä=kìãÄÉê.
OK Select bÇáí to change the number that is currently assigned to speed dial
location “1.”
PK Enter the new number, then select an option:
■ p~îÉ=saves the new number.
■ qáãÉ=m~ìëÉ=enters a time pause in the number. See Enter a pause on page 29.
■ e~êÇ=m~ìëÉ=enters a hard pause in the number. See Enter a pause on page 29.

Use this setting to erase old messages and free up phone memory.

OK Press to select an option:
■ aáë~ÄäÉÇ=does not erase messages.
■ läÇ=få_çñ=automatically erases old, read messages.
