Chapter 7 Date Book 101
Using the Date Book menus
Options menu
Font
Choose a font (text) style for your Date Book entries. See “Choosing fonts” on
page 36.
Preferences
Set preferences for Date Book times and alarms.
Start/End Time sets the start and end times for
the screen.
Alarm Preset automatically sets an alarm for each
new event.
Alarm Sound controls the type of tone the
alarm generates.
Remind Me defines how many times the alarm
sounds. The choices are 1, 2, 3, 5, and 10 times.
Play Every defines how often the alarm sounds.
The choices are 1, 5, 10, and 30 minutes.
Display Options
Change the Date Book’s appearance and the events that appear.
Show Time Bars turns on time bars in the Day
View. Time bars show the duration of events and
illustrate event conflicts.
Compress Day View controls how times appear in
the Day View. If you remove the check mark, all
time slots appear. If you check it, start and end
times for each event appear, but blank time slots at
the bottom of the screen disappear.
Check any or all of the Month View Settings to
show timed, untimed, or daily repeating events in
the month view.
Phone Lookup
Search for a phone number and paste it into a Date Book event. See “Looking
up information on your phone” on page 21.
Security
The Security menu allows you to hide or mask
records placed in your date book. A password may
be required to access these records.
