Setting Flip preferences
4. Tap the Banner field if you want to change the banner text.
The My Banner screen appears.
5. Tap on the line. Then write the text you want to appear in the banner.
6. Tap Done.
7. Tap to return to the Applications screen.
To set phone numbers to auto-hyphenate
To insert hyphens automatically in phone numbers, put a check mark beside Auto-Hyphen. If you
don’t want to use this feature, remove the check mark.
Setting Flip preferences
Here you can specify the sounds and actions associated with opening and closing the flip
1. Tap to view the Applications screen.
2. Tap Prefs Phone to access the Phone Preferences screen.
3. Tap in the upper-right corner and select Flip Settings.
To set Flip preferences
1. Check the Answer call checkbox if you want the phone to automatically answer an incoming
call when you open the flip.
2. Check the Show phone display checkbox if you want the Phone application to automatically
show on the screen when you open the flip.
3. To specify a sound to be played anytime the flip is opened, tap beside Play Sound under
“When Opening Flip” and choose a sound bite from the list.
4. To specify a sound to played anytime the flip is closed, tap beside Play Sound under
“When Closing Flip” and choose a sound bite from the list.
