Setting ShortCuts preferences
To create a ShortCut
You can create a ShortCut for any words, letters, or numbers. All the ShortCuts you create appear
on the list in the ShortCut Preferences screen and are backed up on your computer when you
perform a HotSync operation. You can use these ShortCuts in any application.
1. Tap New in the ShortCut Preferences screen.
2. On the ShortCut Name line, enter the letters you want to use to activate the ShortCut.
3. Tap the ShortCut Text area and enter the text that you want to appear when you write the
ShortCut characters.
4. Tap OK.
To edit a ShortCut
1. Tap the ShortCut you want to edit in the ShortCuts Preferences screen.
2. Tap Edit to display the ShortCut Name and ShortCut text.
3. Make the changes you want and tap OK.
To delete a ShortCut
1. Tap the ShortCut you want to delete in the ShortCuts Preferences screen.
2. Tap Delete.
3. Tap Yes in the alert dialog to delete your ShortCut.
Tap New.
