Glossary
AC adapter A power cable to connect the phone to an AC power outlet and charge
the phone battery.
analog mode The traditional method of modulating radio signals to carry information,
used in AM/FM radio and cellular telephones. If the Kyocera 7135
smartphone cannot find a digital signal, it switches to analog mode. (See
also digital mode.)
any-key answer The ability to answer a call by pressing any key on the keypad except the
backlight key, the Clear key, or the navigator key. To turn this
feature on or off, see Setting Incoming Call preferences on page 152.
auto answer A feature setting the phone to answer calls automatically after two rings.
To turn this feature on or off, see Setting Incoming Call preferences on
page 152.
banner A name or other text that appears on the screen when the phone is idle.
To enter this text, tap the Phone Prefs icon on the PDA applications
screen. Select Display from the pick-list in the upper right corner and
enter the text in the Banner field.
blind-copied
message
A message that is copied to one or more people without the knowledge
of other persons to whom that message is sent or copied
bookmark A Web file that lets you quickly connect to a site you have previously
visited and marked (like a bookmark placed in a book)
cache (memory) The amount of memory available for an application to use. Memory
allocated to one application cannot be used by other applications.
call forwarding A phone option that permits you to reroute incoming calls to a different
telephone number, either all the time or only when your phone number
is busy or doesnt answer
call history A list of the last 99 calls you have sent or received
call waiting An option available from your cellular service provider. When youre
engaged in a call, a signal notifies you that another call has arrived.
carrier features Options available from your cellular service provider. Since these
options vary, you must contact your service provider for detailed
information.
