1. Touch Home > Menu > System settings > Language & input.
2. Set the following options:
Auto-replace: Check to automatically correct mistyped words.
Auto-capitalization: Check to automatically capitalize the first letter of
sentences.
Auto-punctuate: Check to automatically insert “.” when the space key is pressed
twice.
Vibrate on keypress: Check to activate vibration when a key is pressed.
Touchscreen keyboard
Your device provides convenient ways to enter letters, numbers, and symbols whenever you are
prompted to enter text. To manually display the touchscreen keyboard, simply touch a text field
where you want to enter text. There are two ways of entering text on your device: Swype and
Android keyboard.
Note: Swype is selected as a default keyboard.
To switch the touchscreen keyboard:
1. Press Home > Menu , and touch System settings > Language & input.
2. Touch Default under KEYBOARD & INPUT METHODS.
3. Choose Swype or Android keyboard.
Entering Text Using Swype
Swype
®
allows you to enter text by sliding your finger from letter to letter rather than touching
each key individually. To enter text, slide your finger from one letter to the next.
