Key
Description
Shift:
Touch to toggle between lower case and upper case.
Capslock:
Double-touch the lower case or upper case shift key.
Text mode:
Touch to toggle between the Alphabet keyboard and
Number & Symbol keyboard.
Voice input mode:
Touch to enter text using your voice.
Backspace:
Touch to delete a character. Touch and hold to delete
multiple characters.
Smiley:
Touch to insert a smiley. Touch and hold to view and select
other smileys.
Next:
Touch to go to the next text entry field.
Alternate:
Touch to display more symbols. Touch to return to
Number & Symbol keyboard.
Go:
Touch to go to a Web address.
Space:
Touch to insert a space. Touch and hold to select the input
method.
ABC Mode
In ABC mode, you can enter letters from the touchscreen keyboard. While in this mode, the text
mode key displays .
1. Select the ABC mode by touching .
You can switch the capitalization style in ABC mode by touching the shift key .
(Unshifted) to make all letters in a word lowercase.
(One-character-shifted) to capitalize only the first letter of a word.
You can select the caps lock by double-touching or to make all letters in a
word uppercase.
(Caps Lock) to make all letters in a word uppercase.
2. Touch corresponding alphabet keys to enter text.
