Tethering & Portable Hotspot Settings
Use the settings menu to configure your Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot settings, which allow you to
share your phone’s data service with multiple Wi-Fi capable devices. For details on your
phone’s tethering and portable hotspot settings, see Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot.
NFC Settings
NFC (Near Field Communication) allows data exchange when device touches another device.
For more information about NFC settings, see Near Field Communication (NFC) Technology.
Enable NFC
1. Touch > > Settings > More….
2. Select the NFC check box.
Android Beam
With Android Beam you can beam files to another NFC-capable device by holding the devices
close together. You can beam Browser pages, images and videos, People contacts, and more.
Just bring the devices together (typically back to back) and then touch your screen.
Note: Make sure that NFC is turned on, before you turn on Android Beam.
1. Touch > > Settings > More… > Android Beam.
2. Touch the on/off slider to turn Android Beam on.
To share app contents:
1. With Android Beam turned on, display the contents you want to share on your screen.
2. Bring your phone close to another NFC-enabled device, typically back to back aiming
the NFC antenna, and then touch your screen. The app determines what gets beamed.
