Note: The NFC antenna is located on the lower half of the back cover of your phone. Use
center of the area to get best performance.
Mobile Networks
The Mobile networks options let you enable your phone’s mobile data access, set your preferred
network mode, configure Connections Optimizer, and select network operators for international
use.
Enable Mobile Data
1. Touch > > Settings > More… > Mobile networks.
2. Select the Data enabled check box.
Network Mode
1. Touch > > Settings > More… > Mobile networks > Network mode.
2. Select LTE/CDMA or CDMA only. The phone will scan for the 4G LTE network and will
automatically connect to it when it is available.
When your phone is connected to the 4G LTE network, the 4G LTE icon ( ) appears in the
status bar.
Note: The 4G LTE network is self-discoverable, which means no additional steps are required
for your phone to connect to it.
Connections Optimizer
Your phone can be set to automatically select the best mobile network. For the details on
Connections Optimizer, see Connections Optimizer.
Roaming
Roaming is the ability to make or receive calls and access data services when you’re off the
Nationwide Network.
Roaming Icon
Your display screen always lets you know when you’re off the Nationwide Network.
Anytime you are roaming, the phone displays the roaming icon ( ).
Roaming on Other Networks
When you’re roaming on other networks, your call quality and security will be similar to the
quality you receive when making calls on the Nationwide Network. However, you may not
be able to access certain features, such as data services, depending on the available network.
