Status Bar: Displays the time, notification icons, and phone status icons. Slide down to
display the Notifications panel.
Help Icon: Displays help for the Home screen, including how to add application
shortcuts or widgets.
App Shortcuts: Offer quick and easy access to Camera, People, Messages, Settings,
Browser and Maps applications.
Phone Icon: Opens the phone dialpad to make a call.
Application Launcher: Touch to display available applications and widgets on the
phone.
Alerts Icon: Opens the Notifications panel.
Menu Icon: Opens a menu that allows you to customize your home screen.
Screen Position Indicator: Indicates which home screen is displayed. The home
screen icon shows the main home screen.
Google Search Bar: Allows you to enter text or spoken keywords for a quick search on
the phone or on the Internet. Touch to enter text or touch the microphone icon to speak
your keyword.
Tip: While on an extended screen, touch to return to the main home screen.
Change the Home Screen Mode
You can switch between easy mode and standard mode at any time. Follow the instructions
below.
1. Touch > > Settings > Home mode.
2. Choose a mode and touch Apply.
3. Touch OK to confirm.

Manage Your Home Screens
In addition to the main home screen, your phone has extended home screens to provide more
space for adding icons, widgets, and more. Touch and then drag across the screen to move
from the main screen to an extended screen. There are up to six extended screens available in
addition to the main Home screen.
