2. Touch Call log tab to display the Call log list.
3. Touch the phone icon next to the number or contact to place a call.
For additional options, touch the name or number.
Call from Contacts
You can place phone calls directly from entries in your Contacts list.
1. Touch > to display the phone app.
2. Touch the
Phone book
tab to display the Contacts list. Your frequent contacts are
displayed at the top of the list.
Touch to search for your contact.
3. Touch the contact you want to place a call.

Call a Number in a Text Message
While viewing a text message or email message, you can place a call to a number that is in the
body of the message.
1. Touch > >
Messaging
. If necessary, select a messaging or email account.
2. Touch the message with the phone number.
3. The Dialpad screen then opens, with the phone number automatically filled in and ready
to be dialed. To place the call, touch .
Call Emergency Numbers
You can place calls to 9-1-1 even if the phone’s screen is locked or your account is restricted.
To call the 9-1-1 emergency number:
1. Touch > >
Dialpad
tab to display the phone dialpad.
2. Touch .
To call the 9-1-1 emergency number when the pattern screen lock, the facial screen lock, the
PIN screen lock or the password screen lock is on:
1. Touch
Emergency call
at the bottom of the lock screen.
2. Touch .
